New G35 owner Here is my other toy 2002 NSX T
Hello All
I was posting over at one of the 350Z forums and finally found G35 driver.com.
It only took a week to find you all. I bought my 2004 G35 Coupe with the Brembos last week and love it. I plan on doing many mods to the G35, I hope to have it running mid to high 12's in the quarter mile it the next month or two. Intake, Headders, Exhaust, Different 18's (light weight of course), Tein coil overs to start with. The G35 is my daily driver so I won't be going to over board.

My NSX is also featured in this month issue (Jan) of Honda Tuning. My NSX is one of the fastest full bodied NSX T's in the US it has run 12.4's @109 NA and 11.2's @121 with 100 shot of Nitrous in the quarter with 285 30 18 Potenza SO3's on the rear. It is also a strong top ender with seeing over 180mph on a few occasions NA. The NSX is also one of the lightest
NSX T's in the US, 2840 pounds with a half a tank of gas. I do track the car as often as work permits.
I caught some crap about my NSX over on the 350 forum. So if you visit both forums please don't be redundant.

I think that's the first non-yellow or non-red nsx i've seen. Looks very nice.. love those rims.
I've always absolutely LOVED the front end of those things, but the rear... not my taste personally.
Very nice car.

beautiful car. only thing really questionably to me (from a safety and performance standpoint) are the brakes. they look good but they dont offer nearly the same stopping power that the stock ones probably had. i know they dont offer the same stopping power that the avg bbk has for sure, nevermind brembos. a guy i know tried them on his mt900 car and they didnt work very well. another supertuner tried them on his car (ctsv i think) and they didnt work very well there either. they're light and lower your rotational mass but they arent effective in stopping. they dont stop quite as short the first time and fade is a bitch from then on...
also is there something missing from the rear diffuser area? or is it like that by design? something just looks odd about it...
anyway, i hope im not coming across as a hater cause your car is beautiful! Just my 2cents.

That car is hot cept for the ricer wing! We'll let it slide tho since you do heavy track and high speed runs.

JGTCNSX - Are you from the Nashville area by any chance? I was there a few months back and I saw an NSX just like that, spoiler and all. Just curious.
PS- It's also very hard to get a G to do mid to high 12's without "going overboard" you'll end up going FI especially coming from the NSX

Wow nice NSX and nice purchase of the G, welcome to the forums! Just to help you out with some info and give you an idea of what your getting into, all of those bolt ons you mentioned can probably get you high 13's with an amazing driver! To pull mid to high 12's you are definitely going to need a TT or single turbo setup to be pushing out the numbers you want, there are many supercharged G's at over 400 RWHP that are running 13.2's to 4's but they are MUCH more reliable then the turbo setups, you are def. going to have to rebuild the engine with forged internals to have a "safer" and more reliable setup, good luck and check out the FI section

I have had all types of cars just a few to mention, 2 Ferrari's, 1 Viper, 14 Mustangs, passed on a 2000 Porcshe Turbo for my 1st Ferrari, and 4 NSX's . They all suck when you compare to a low 11 second 1/4 mile, 180 plus top end, 1 plus G in the turns 2002-2005 NSX. The NSX not a garge/shop dawg either. It is a blast to drive. Not to brag but I can afford just about any car out there under 150K and my choice is the NSX.

Hell no, i see what he means a FI NSX is the ultimate car, i agree!! But my choice would def. be a Porsche GT2!
If you got that type of money, i cant imagine what your going to make this G into, this might be the future of all G's
