I will be buying a G35 within a week and am trying to make my decision.

I am looking at two cars.

1. 2003 G35 Coupe 6MT. Loaded with everything, ie (Navi, Bose, Aero Package, Premium Package, Xenon etc etc.) Black Exterior, Black Leather inside as well. 2 Owner, 107k miles. They are asking $11000



2. 2005 G35 Coupe 6MT. Athens Blue, w/ Black Interior. 19" Rays, Loaded with everything except Navi. Price is right around the same. One Owner, 108k miles. This one is a little more clean than the 2003 as well.





Now, I know the differences between the cars such as the power difference (Which from what I've read is not very noticeable), revised interior, removal of brembos , Head unit etc.

But which would you pick. I'm having the hardest time here. The 05 has the "Rev Up" on its side, as well as the color and ownership. However the 03 has the Brembos and Navi.

 

Definitely the 05

 

05 for sure, you can upgrade the brakes later

i have an 05 6MT coupe and a 03 sedan and the 05 is much nicer

 

2005... is the motor suffering from the oil consumption issue..??

 

2003 with the brembo's, doesnt have the oil consumption issues

 

i hate it when everyone thinks that every 05 + 6MT has the oil issue since that is just not the case at all... if it were a major problem there would have been a recall...

 

well.. oil consumption doesn't involve safety or else it would be a recall.. but.. i'm just sayin... i have an 05 that had the issue..

 

Well, i do like the 05 just because of the color. But that has high miles though.

 

have it checked out before you buy

I would get both cars tested for OC

 

the blue also comes with the OEM front lip already... those are hard to come by these days.

 

05 has clear corners which could be a good thing, meaning the owner was aware of simple mods, possibly a member here, and took care of the car. It could also mean that he drove the car hard a lot.

'03 has a lower miles/year.

I vote for the '05 though. Black is over-rated anyways and those rays look amazing.
