Bump it up to 300
I am getting my G coupe in about a month, and I am trying to get an estimate as to how much I will probably spend bumping my G's horses up to 300 (or more). I'm a noob at modding, so I need as much help as possible. Would a nice CAI do it? What would you do, or what have you done?

What year is the G you're looking for? Cause you do know cars lose horsepower over time... So you'll probably need 30-40 more hp to get 300. A CAI won't do it. A plenum spacer will only give you about 10 extra horsepower. Just invest in JDM stickers, a carbon fiber hood, a 4 foot spoiler, and you'll be good to go.

Search around and you can find a lot of info on mods.
If you're talking 300 WHP.... you're going to have to spend a lot of money considering that most stock G's put down between 230 and 245 WHP.
You'd need at least a 100% full exhaust system(headers, HFC's/Test Pipes, Cat-Back exhaust), aftermarket intake, aftermarket plenum or spacer, cams, lightweight flywheel, and a good tune. Even with all that, I doubt you'd still have 300 WHP.
If you want big power, you should consider getting a turbo or supercharger setup but that will set you back about $10K to do it right.

Would a CAI help? And also, it may be my mod noobiness coming in, but I can't tell if you're serious or not about the stickers and the 4 foot spoiler lol.

but that are also a couple g's above my budget. Yes, I might end up putting down that difference in mods to an unmodded G, but that's over time.
