ive looked all over, and it seems as though test pipes or ART pipes are the best bang, or possibly HFC's ... if you were to decide between ART's (new ones) or HFC's ..what would you do ? also will the ART's have that smell that the standard test pipes have?

 

Art pipes > all.Yeah same test pipe smell. Arts are just test pipes with hours and hours of r&d and resonators. Also you cant pass emissions with art but you have a better chance with hfcs.

 

will HFC's yield similar hp to the ART's and have no rasp? do they smell also? i hate to ask you guys dumb questions, just trying to gauge where i want to put my money here. thanks.

 

ARTs will provide the biggest gains and it depends on what exhaust you add them too how they will sound. They won't eliminate the rasp of a crappy exhaust but they will sound waaay better than any HFCs or regular test pipes. You also don't have to worry about them blowing out cell material and destroying your exhaust like HFC's are known to do.

 

My choice was easy, I went with BERK'S HFCs because I wanted to remain some what legal...and I can pass smog. All of the members I know that have ART pipes are stoked with the results, way better than any other test pipes...you have choices!

yeah ive had my mind set on new v2.2 ART pipes, just wanna get your guys opinion. a buddy said the ART pipes make the sound the best he has ever heard. i currently have the z-tube, pop charger, MD 5/16 spacer , and HKS true dual exhaust. seems like the ART's are gonna be the best bang, with no rasp. i do not want rasp.

 

i've installed the v1 and v2 of the art pipes for a member on the z forum. i also installed his dual intakes and hks exhaust. we'll hear you from a block away, but amazingly it's not loud in the cabin at all. there are gains in power from the art pipes.

you won't pass smog on any hfc. i vouch to that because we tried different ones at my friends smog test only. could not get it to pass on the pretest.

hfc i hear from super charged guys lays more power than test pipes except compared to art resonated pipes... combined with headers of course.

which high flow did you use? the ones i experienced were marginally close but just didn't make it.
