OEM Trunk Gap Problem

Hey Forum,

I've noticed that on my G, theres an annoying gap between the trunk and taillight when closed. It looks like the trunk's still open but it's completely closed. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Here's a picture.

Are u sure its ur trunk? It kinda looks like ur tail light isn't sitting right but I guess it just might be the angle of the photo

The gap with the quarter looks tight. I would loosen the nuts for your tail light and re-tighten while applying pressure on the light towards the trunk. you can also shave the holes where the light bolts go for some more wiggle room.

If the trunk was ever replaced, the fitment of every trunk is sliiightly different as well. I replaced mine with a recycled trunk at one point, and it required some tweaking to get the gaps looking good. Your best bet is to just mess with the tail light.

I'm all OEM/ no spoiler with the SAME problem. I've always had that question in the back of my head. I've never attempted to adjust it
