Your motors really don't go bad, most of the time it's just dust from brushes that prevents it from working.
All you have to do is just take it apart and clean it up, sometimes brushes need to be changed.

Check out this thread on a cleaning procedures.

I have done it to mine and to few others I sold to members on this board and craigslist. All working just fine and just as reliable as they did prior to getting dirty.

Here is a thread on a little more complicated procedure (brush replacement)

everything
Speak of the devil... just replaced my pass side for the 3rd time tonight.

Buy one from AutoZone/Pepboys/Oreillys. They have a lifetime warranty. It goes out, you get another for FREE!!!

I actually made money tonight when I returned mine. Autozone was out, went down the street and bought one from O'reillys for $183, swapped it, took the broken one back to Autozone( a little over a year after I got it) and they gave me $200 cash refund since they still didnt have any in stock.

Ive cleaned mine before... all it does is make it work for another few months, then it will sh't the bed eventually. Easier to get free ones and take 30 mins to take off the door panel and swap them out.

I must have one of those Gs that was made with quality parts.
I got almost 130k on it and the only thing that went wrong with it is my pass seat does not move.
Never had a problem with window motor or anything.

I just replaced my first one the other weekend. I picked the replacement motor from an Oreilly's auto parts store which had it in stock. I was surprised they had it in stock. The better part of this whole deal is that they offer a lifetime warranty for the motor so i just swap it out next time it goes bad.

Not a bad deal for $139 especially since I didn't want to wait for shipping...did I mention lifetime warranty?!

Good thread. My windows have been acting up for the last few years, never got around to replacing them. I'll try cleaning them, but if not, I've got an Oreily down the street. Can anyone share/confirm the part numbers we need?

Also check your power relay that's what happened to mine. My passenger side motor stoppers working sometimes I have to hit the door to get it to start again so I bought a used motor from a member here installed it but it didn't work either it goes down fine but when it goes back up it's very slow and mid way up it stops. Same as the old motor. So we took everything out of the door and we couldn't figure out what it was . I went to the dealer the next day and found out it had a bad relay. I got that changed and it works fine now. I still use my old window motor.

I just called it in and they said they had it in stock. So, I pulled mine and hopped in my truck and drove over there. The $129 price tag requires a core exchange, which I didn't want to make two trips for so I brought it with me. Compared the two and I was on my way.

The part number on my receipt is 47-1377. Don't know if its any different for the other side, but this was for my drivers side door.

Hope this helps

Good to know, sounds almost exactly like my symptoms.... goes down fine, but always have problems going up. Will not work almost 100% of the time if I try to use the auto up feature, but if I do the first click to make it come up, I gotta slam the door to make it work.

Where is this relay located? How much did it cost?

The relay is located right under the clicker/switch. It has a click sound when the window stops going up or down. The window stops cause the power relay isn't giving enough power to the window motor (I was told at the dealer ship) luckily It didn't cost me anything cause the car came with a two year warranty. So ask them to test the power relay.
