Question Window motors...

On my second round of buying window motors...

Does anyone know if there is an upgrade that i can do so that i don't have to go through replacing them again?

I appreciate all the input!

THANKS ALL!

i've really only replaced 1. but now it needs to be replaced and so does the passenger side....

i used a rebuild...i just don't want to have to deal with a window motor again, so i'd rather spend a little more on each of them now....and in the long run i would be ok

I just recently replaced my first one. We had to replace the drivers side motor. I purchased a unit from Checker (O'reilly) Auto Parts. The motor set me back about $135, however I did not think that was to bad. The unit came with a LIFETIME warranty. Its a little noisy sometimes, but heck when it goes bad I'll take it back and get another under warranty... plus its only about a 10 minute job to replace.

I'm doing this today, buying a from a junk yard. My coworker who was a mechanic for 25 years said to make sure i get the regulator and motor together, is that correct?

Thanks!
