Ditch those thieves and just get some Akebono's if you need a reasonably price set.

Wow. I wonder if they are including new tires/rims at that price. THEN it may be accurate.

quoted me $3600 including some thing that you put in the brakes to reduce screeching noise my question is, what are my alternatives? i dont want to pay $3600. Asked the guy if I could get non-brembo brakes and he said the specifications are different and only Brembo brakes can be installed on the car. (Can someone confirm this?)
these are for a 2004 coupe, Brembo brakes
My reply to their quote would have been, "Do I have Stupid written on my forehead?" And just another reason we refer to them a the STEALERSHIP! You can get everything you need here on our MARKETPLACE under vendor brakes. Do you need calipers, rotors and pads?

about 60k miles ago Dealer told me that I need new belts
I sure did listen to them

As many have said, all you need is new pads and probably new rotors if yours cant be turned. Should not be more than $400

I best service rep wrote that on his order form so that mechanic can prepare a "proper" bill.

stock rotors, yeah, I would agree with you on that one, they don't last much.

My stop tech have been turned 3 times already and lasted me for about 100k miles.
Still lasting I should say.

I don't think I need new callipers. Only rotors and pads. The garage I usually go to will charge me $85/hour for installation and they said it will take 2-3 hours. I will double check the price of the brakes/rotors now and let you guys know just incase they try to rip me off as well.

Also it says on the paper i got from the dealership that i need to replace BRAKE SHIMS and BRAK PLOIDS. Does anyone know if these are necessary and If i should purchase these as well?

Thanks for everyones response.

Last thing, CZP from the vendor section also look good and they cost $700 plus shipping to Canada and $85/hour labor. Does this seem like a good price to you guys? Apologies for the noob questions

EDIT: Just called R1 concepts: the total price for 4 rotors (ELINE) + 4 Pads + shipping to Canada = $410. Does this price sound good to you guys? So total price with labour (approx 3 hours) will be $665. Thoughts?

Wow- I guess the scary thing is that people actually do this at the dealer. There is no way ever I would do this. Not even if I had it like that... that is just ridiculous.

You'll also get taxed (HST or GST for sure) and brokerage depending on their method of shipping. With rotors being so heavy, I'll assume that it'll be shipped ground. Be ready for a surprise unless it's cleared by a custom broker and not the courier company's.

If you're close to the border, you can have the package shipped to a packing holding company. This way you can take advantage of free shipping within Cont US. Not sure what company is out there for the west coast tho (assuming you're from Vancouver from your name...)
