wipers suck on this car!

Hey guys,
I've got an annoying problem with my wipers, on the drivers side, it always leaves a streak diagonally right through my field of vision. Right where the passenger wiper stops, and then on the return swipe downward, the drivers side doesn't remove it. I've replaced the wipers with new ones, and still the same issue. It's like the tension of the wiper spring isn't enough to hold the middle of the blade down on the surface of the glass. Any ideas? Anybody know if and where I can get a replacement spring with a higher tension?

Thanks,

michelins from costco work pretty well at a very good price. rainx ones are like 16 bucks a pop, not to say that they're bad or anything, just expensive for rubber. i guess it depends on how often you actually use them

I've always used rain x on my car windshields. The issue is that the middle of the wiper does not even make contact with the window on the downward swipe. Since there has been no improvement by replacing the wipers, I'm looking to replace the spring with something with more tension. I have good wipers and have no reason to replace them again.

Did you replace just the blade inserts or the whole wiper?

No to the rain-x. I bought them, maybe you might have to buy it alittle bit smaller than what it suggest. They suck so bad they do that exact problem u described. Its so damn annoying it makes the streaking sound too as it misses on the way down and leaves that damn diagonal water line on its way up SUCKS SO BAD!!! RAIN X SMASH!!! Might try the icons next if those suck, guess we ish out of luck.

No, not the blades. Like Aquapel? It's just the liquid windshield treatment. When I apply I don't use my wipers for a week or two.

Yeah I checked out the wiper arm, no sign of it being damaged or bent at all. Oh well, I guess I'll have to continue driving with constantly obstructed vision until I find some other way to fix it. One of the many annoying issues with this car I guess..

Did you have your windshield replaced recently? Maybe your windshield just has a low spot where the wiper can't hit.
