Okay, there are many of us who want to know what everyone's experience is with 18-inch tire performance. I would love to hear about your experience with the 18's on less than optimum (dry) road. For example, what is everybody doing around hydroplaning? What alternatives to Michelin Pilot MXM are there for the front wheels? Michelin makes R/S tires for the rear BUT not the front. Has anyone found a GOOD alternative that resists hyrdo and demonstrates tread wear that is more than a statistical embarassment?
Have you been driving with the VDC off? Is so, why and what do you experience? Has anyone spun out? If so was your VDC on or off? Have you developed a philosophy about driving without VDC?
What observation can you make about the marriage of 18-inch tires and Infiniti's VDC from your own experience? Tell, tell!!

I crashed my car 2 months after I got with VDC OFF I was pulling out a parking lot and the ground was wet (from a hose or something) and I stomped on the gas and did like a "S" shape and hit a parked car because I over corrected and lost control. But I normaly drive with VDC OFF and the car is pretty tail happy on wet roads but VDC usually takes care of the problem and I never have spun out with it on.
i had my vdc off last night as i was racing a jetta vr6 stick at the canyons and fishtailed pretty bad when i hit a puddle.. i was surprised it did that since it was in the high 2nd gear and i had it floored for a while.. anyways, i was quick to control the G and proceeded to rape the vr6

As far as VDC, I keep it off in the dry. I find it is too agressive at times. Simply trying to merge into a lane from a dead stop where I need to bring my speed up quickly has caused dangerous situations. The throttle gets backed off and you can't accelerate despite the fact that a car is quickly approaching from behind. In the rain I keep it on as I tend to drive much more conservatively so I'm not worried about situations like the one I just mentioned. It's virtually transparent though for the most part.
