the only problem with resettign the ECU is that the ECU has a flash ROM memory which is unerasable and will retain some information for ever (usually the last weeks data). this has thrown some altima and maxima owners into fits when dynoing before and after mods. I don't have all the answers but it does learn your style. So if you want the best performance out of it, dog it for a week before you race or dyno.

Sorry..you lost me at "retain some information forever" and "especially for the last few weeks" and "dog it before dyno".What is retained forever? you are saying it will learn but re-sets to your base driving style during break in.? I must be dense here....just ask my wife.
