Sand/rocks in my exhaust?

I have an hks cbe and straight test pipes.

When I wash and detail my car i took it for a drive one time around my block and came back with all these little big chunk of rock looking things on my rear bumper and trunk. Cleaned again and did the same thing.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Are these little big rock chunk looking things actually little, or are they big? Can't be both.... LOL.

Are you sure it's not just water stains in your paint from excess water that was hidden somewhere on the car after the wash getting blown back towards the rear of the car as you drove? Our cars have a lot of little tricky spots where dirty water likes to pool up. The crease around the trunk is notorious for that. I like to open my trunk up before a wash, and clean out the area around the water seal with some rags so that it doesn't catch and hold dirty water from the wash. It's always full of tons of dirt and much that can block the water drainage from going through there and out the rear bumper where it runs off to. Eventually remnants of that sloppy muck will flush out the lower portion of the trunk and get all over the rear bumper. The side mirrors also like to drip all over the door for about an hour or so after a wash, and the little black strip on the top of the roof is there to act as a water channel and can also hold water if you're washing the car on a day that's not warm enough to rapidly evaporate it..

It's tough to tell without a picture exactly what you're seeing, but does what you're seeing look like stains of dried up dirty water on your otherwise clean paint?

Due to the shape of our cars we always end up with dust/grass and other trash on our trunklids. I wash SLICK and drive two blocks when I get home I dust the trunk lid off, fact of life and nothing you can do about it except keep it clean....Gary

Experience the same thing with the trunk and side mirrors. Always annoying. And OP cant really see anything in the pic posted.

its actually feels like sand...
so now everytime i would wipe it clean and drive it around my block and come back it, it would just show everywhere in my rear.
this is unlikely to happen..

imo it's just something from the rear wheels being kicked up. if you think its from your exhaust, turn the car on, and sit in the driveway and rev to get the exhaust to replicate the sandy stuff. If nothing appears after a while, you know it's from the ground and the wheels.
