I can't tell what it is, but just remember that the clay bar is for crap on your paint and rubbing compound (with proper foam pad) is for crap in your paint. My advice is to stay away from alcohol washes. If you have to soak your car in something, use IronX followed by the clay bar. Paint will be as clean as its ever been. Be sure to wash your car first

Just buff the whole car dude... It's a lot of work, but the result is well worth the effort. Especially if your car has never had it done (possibly up to a 14 year old paint job).

Trust me, it makes it better!

Of course it does....^....but he wants to remove the spots first and he's already tried the buffer without the needed results....Gary

Give it a good wash and decontamination. The first pic looks like there's some edge burning, or it's wax residue, better hope it's the latter. Try to use some tar/sap remover first, then clay, then polish.

You'll be surprised what a good compounding/polishing job can do. It doesn't seem like there's that much damage and should be on the surface. It might be sap or it could be bird poop etching and either can be taken out with proper methods. As long as your clear is thick enough, there isn't really much you can't remove.
