Dubs....I have seen both 03 and 04 coupes with cloth interior, and It is done quite nice......
My dealer had one in laser red with grey/graphite cloth, and a DG/w sunroof and cloth....supposedly quite a rare order...
Anyway, I had my leather seat bottom replaced by my dealer a couple months ago, and I think the retail for it was around 1,200.

So going leather, even at an upholstery shop would set you back some money.....probably minimun $2000 a seat...depending on how much stitching /design your planning...

Good luck with your choice....

Quote: wtf was that all about.....

all i wanted to know where to get leather dropped in..... money isnt an issue just a concern. BTW knowing myself; i would rip out the leather anywayz and put something in custom..but thats me .....well anyone else feel free to leave some constuctive feedback or otherwise keep on truckin...
I understand what you were doing and I wasn't criticizing you for it. I just don't want people to skimp and wish they hadn't done so at a later point.

The bottom line is that even though at the time it sounds good to save a buck, at a later point you're going to wish you had just gone for it. I don't want people to end up in a situation where they could have paid $1,400 up front but are now stuck paying thousands more for aftermarket leather interior.

Several people on the forum purchased 5AT's because that's what the dealer had on the lot and they wanted the car now, then ended up trading the car in for a 6MT when they discovered that's what they really wanted... Just trying to help people out, sorry if it sounded like I was yelling in my previous post, I'm just lookin' out.

actually the leather G35 with no options is $2,000 more than the cloth G35 with no options...as far as i am concerned i didn't have much of a choice since my parents bought the car for me...i am quite happy with my cloth interior, would i like to have leather? sure it would be nice but i'm not going to swap out my cloth for leather unless i find some at a junkyard or something for considerably less than $2,000...

Here our some images I've got of the interior. When we first went looking at the G35c they had a red coupe and DP both with the willow cloth. The DP was the car we ended up buying, but the seats were still covered with plastic (so these are from the red car). One of the pictures is tinted a little bit red, that's just from the car.

Not wanting to be put on a waiting list back in Jan 03' we grabbed the DP cloth and installed a sunroof. The cloth is very nice, and is kinda like suade. Never cold, never hot, and holds you where you are.

I can't find my digital camera, otherwise I'd grab some shots from inside the car. It'll show up within a day, and I'll post a few more.

Quote: Actually the 2004 model came with cloth b/c i have it... anywayz i was wondering if any of u guys might know of a reputable nyc location where i can get leather installed ( also not putting holes in my pocket)...... i got the car brand new for 27,500... I couldn’t say no to that price
Good buy, I wanted a cloth 03 and I found one in MN for 24,000 at an Acura dealer with 10k miles. They took it in trade for a 4 door from some old dude, so they wanted to get rid of it. I found a NAVi 5AT for a good deal closer to where I live, so I went with it.

A cloth coupe is worth under 25G, because you can get options in the hi 20s, and def. NAV in the low 30s.

The cloth is great when it's new, who knows how suede like it will be at 60k miles....
