Wheel Bearing replacement

Hello Friends, I need some advice. I took the car to the dealer today to trouble shoot wheel noise and rough ride with a lot of road noise. He inspected the car and told me that i needed all four bearings. Cost $300 per side. Tires are brand new. My questions: 1) do i change the bearings or the entire hub assembly needs to be changed. 2) Is there any after market vendor or a cheap infinity parts source where I can buy the bearings/hub 3) is it difficult to change these parts or any mechanic can replace them. I live in Houston and if houston area members can recommend a good mechanic on the southwest side, I will appreciate it. Thank you.

how many miles on the car? i find it hard to believe that ALL 4 wheel bearings would go out, ive seen 150k+ mile cars that are still on the original bearings, may want to get a second opinion just to double check.

I just replaced mine, awd they are a bit more expensive. But advance auto sells the 2wd ones for 175 each they don't carry the awd ones and AutoZone has the wrong parts they don't fit. Also foreign autoparts could not get mine either....

It's an easy swap when you have the part. Infiniti sells them for 212 ten bucks more than AutoZone and it fits right haha

Mine is an 07 x

But check around they aren't that expensive and the job once you get your car in the air and wheels off is simple enough

i agree no way all 4 bears would go bad a once. Just jack up the car and spin all the wheels. The wheels that make the bicycle spoke sounds are the ones with the bad bearings.

Just replace the bearings, no real need to replace the hubs if there in good shape. You can buy the bearings from one of the oem internet dealers or one of our oem infinite dealers in the vendors section.

install should only be 1hr-1.5hr labor per side.

Getting ready to replace mine and from the dealer on the forum, cost is $133 each for fronts. If you want to do it yourself. I have an 05 coupe.
