Shudder/shaking at idle..

Hey guys..

Wanted to see some opinions about this problem I'm having.

This is for a 2006 G35 Coupe with 69,000 kms (43,000 miles). I've owned this car for 2.5 years and leave the car parked in the garage during winters, drove it around once every 2 weeks when there's no snow, didnt treat it with fuel stabilizer this year. I'm also due for an oil change at 70,000kms, but i'm at 69,300km. And, I think it was done in August 2011 when I had 63,179km.

We've got an early spring in Canada this year, so I took it out last week. I was in line for a car wash and I turn on and off my engine every 10mins or so about 4 times, during the 3rd start up the engine started to sputter a bit from turning off and on, I guess it was dumb of me.

After that, I started to notice a slight vibration/shudder/shaking on my seat/steering wheel and door, as if it was choking abit. It isnt very strong, but I can most definitely feel it. I noticed that my idle rpm when warm and with no a/c starts at 950-900 and slowly goes down to 850-800.

Did I mess something up by turning it on and off 4-5 times in 50mins?

Could it be.. Throttle body cleaning? Vacuum leak? Air filter? Oil change?

Any inputs, suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

You probably didn't mess it up by turning it on and off if it's just that one time.
Try some fuel injector cleaner, clean the throttle body, and check out the air filter to see if it's dirty.
Also take a look at the spark plugs maybe.

Starting it infrequently that many times (depending on how long you let it run for) could have just introduced too much fuel into the cylinders and wasn't getting burned off, so the sputtering might have been a reaction to a pre-mature flood. This is a novice observation though.

I'll get those done on Thursday.

I went to get something at the store today, parked and came out, cranked the engine and it didnt start... but it started right after i cranked it again.. I really hope nothing bad's happening.

Diablo: if it is indeed excess fuel in the cylinders, would it burn off eventually?

It should, unless the issue is not as simple as I stated in the aforementioned post.
