that's cool, but then the flipped plate gets in the way if you're parallel parking?

No way, you're taking 2-3inches less room. It might mean the difference between a 2 and a 4 point turn.

That is an awesome mod! Well done.

LOl. kool mod... if you are really doing a back up camera though, a friend of mine moved the license plate over to the corner and put the camera in the space it created to the right of the plate...

This will be a pain if you have to flip the plate everytime you want to use the camera. I'm still debating where to install one on my car. Haven't made up my mind yet. You couldn't use this if you live in NYC either, since sometimes you have to squeeze into some tight parking spots, your plate wouldn't survive it.

DKano, your point is valid but to be clear, you COULD use it in NYC You wouldn't fit in the same spot another G might fit, but there are many other cars that are longer than the G that fit in tight spots all the time. You'd have to be very aware of your spacing. One thought, if you could see the end of the plate in the cam, you could literally see the tip of your plate close in on the car behind you...might be a sick advantage.

This is more of what I want to do, either this or modify the stock spoiler and put a camera where the light is.

This flip-A-plate mod would also be useful for when blowing through red lights and photo-speed traps.... LOL.
