I would probably look at a

CTS-V
335i (get an extended warranty)

I don't know what else off the top of my head...

How bout a super fun ride....?

How bout a low mileage used M3 that comes with a warranty? One off the dealership lot that's just been turned in from a lease and well taken care of/serviced....Gary

Audi S4. All wheel drive, lots of manuals, 340 hp and great handling. Looks great inside and out

This isn't everyone's cup of tea, but how about a Volkswagen GTI? 2.0t. They aren't drop dead fast but they are pretty close to the G and with an APR ecu reflash and exhaust you are much quicker

Where in the world did you hear of this? I've never heard of a single N54 or N55 that needed a new turbo, and I'm far more into the BMW world than I am into the Infiniti world (see signature...).

High Pressur Fuel Pump issues, yeah, I've hard of them...though it seems to be hit and miss. I've heard of some from the "most affected model years" never have a problem up to 100K miles and heard of some going through 3 pumps before they even hit 50K.

You have to take everything with a grain of salt, just like over here. How many rev-ups do you read have oil consumption issues? With how often it's mentioned you'd feel just about every rev-up has the issue. The reality, probably far more don't have it than those that do. The reality is that almost everyone who had an issue will post about it, but you don't get threads of people saying "I have had a rev-up for so many years and miles and never had a problem."

With any car just do your research and be prepared.

Note that the 335i's had their engines changed one year (I believe 09). Prior to 08, the 335i's used the N54 engine - twin turbo, regular fuel injected. The 09+ models used the N55 engine - single twin scroll turbo, direct injected.

If I had that budget, I would look at one of the new Golf R. 2.0 liter turbo with 256 horsepower, but can easily be modified for much more. AWD and it will hold it's value well if you keep it for a while since they're won't be many made. The 08 R32 is still around 24k...that's not that bad. Also, only manual, no automatics.

You can always get a newer G. I saw stay w/in the nissan family. They came a long way and they keep getting better.

Never even though of it that way. And it looks like I have to get the 2009 335 now.

Great to hear you're a passionate BMW guy, however, there are a couple of corrections I would like to make:

- The N54 engine was used in the 335i from 2007 - 2010 model year
- The N54 engine uses direct injection

Besides that, the N54 is currently the better platform for tuning due to its use of a forged crankshaft and connecting rods. A couple of companies are also developing single turbo kits for the N54 (soon to be released at reasonable prices). The Vishnu kit is reliably producing 630whp with further room for improvement.

08 Evo's GSR's and 08 STI's are getting cheaper, but as mentioned, it is probably abused.

If you are willing to go out of the box with a domestic and just want speed, try to find a Pontiac G8 GT.

DID you hear anything about the Fuel pump issues. Thats all that is holding me back cause i dont want to deal with any problems.

Yes, it has been an issue for the N54, though not for me personally.
Newer revisions of the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) are supposed to address the issue. Not only that, there is a 10yr 120k warranty on the pump itself for all N54-powered vehicles.
