New Short Shifter!!!

Just got Ebay Short Shifter! im posting it because maybe somebody was thinking of buying them on ebay. For 35$ you cant get any better deal, this is pretty legit and after instlling it and testing it out you can defitnitly see the diffrence in the throw. but for some reason its hard to pull out of reverse, and going in to 5th is a little wierd! but o well for 35$ im really satisfied with the product. just thought somebody might be intrested.

g35jdm, what does it do when you go into 5th gear/ getting out of reverse. Do you think it needs to be broken in? Does it have lubrication points, maybe try a synthetic or liquid graphite lube? Thanks for the post, I really am considering getting an Ebay short throw as well.

It's hard to get into gear because u bought it on eBay.. What's the brand.? For $35 you basically ruined the shifting in your g.

You sacrificed reverse and 5th gear to have a shorter 1st to 4th.?

I suggest u put back ur stock shifter or search for a Rogue Engineering Short Shifter... Or possibly a Stillen..

FYI : eBay is not a good source for aftermarket parts for a G35 unless it's genuine parts from
A reputable company That specializes in G35's.

Just my opinion..

That blue gate is probably out of alignment that's why it's hard to get it into 5th. And I agree with ^^^ eBay shifters (although I've never tried em) will probably never function like any reputable manufacturer. But if you enjoy it all the power to you!

Make sure the guide plate is aligned properly before tightening down. Have it somewhat secure but not completely tightened and make sure you can smoothly engage out of 5th and reverse and adjust the plate accordingly.
