Probably blew an apex seal or the bearings in your header are seized.
Eehhhhh...

What did the smoke smell like and can you tell how it was getting into the cab? Was it coming through the vents? What color was it. Maybe you have oil leaking out a motor seal and it's getting burned up on the exhaust.

Did it have any sort of a fishy smell to it? Coolant tends to have a weird smell when it burns, whereas oil is relatively distinct and easy to recognize.

There's also a possibility that you ran over a plastic bag or something while out on the road, and it might have melted onto a hot part on the undercarriage, such as one of your catalytic converters or any part on the bottom of your motor (if you happen to have your under-engine cover removed).
