When I start my car up, I normally get this vibrating kind of sound coming from the front end. It lasts about 1 whole second and never comes back. It happens almost every time I start it up. Anyone have a similar issue? I can't tell what it is.

Sound like a grinding noise? If so I read this is just the ABS kicking on...

 

Hmm.. even if the car is already warmed up, it happens. It usually occurs after I let go of the gas, then it becomes nonexistent. It's hard to describe the sound. It's like a grinding sound, but at the same time its not. I'll try to listen for it again.

 

Maybe your GF/wife hid her vibrator in your engine bay.

 

you're probably referring to the ABS "test." It almost sounds like a springy grind noise, for lack of a better description. This is perfectly normal on all Gs, far as I know.

I dont know if thats what the OP is hearing but I always wondered what that was. I always thought something was wrong. Glad to know what it really is.
