G35's never came with an OEM iPod adaptor. There's really no way of us knowing what you had in your car.... There are other alternatives you could look into though.

+1 above ^^ only the 2007-08 sedans came with the integration for the G35 lineup. You can still get one for the coupe, but it will only work if you already have the SAT connector in the rear of your car. I believe they only come on the Nav/XM radio models though. And if you have that, then you can go to any regular car audio place or even best buy and have them install an aftermarket ipod integration unit. And for the most part, they will allow you to use your steering wheel controls as well.

Before I got my G, I was driving my parents' '07 Accord and picked up a kit from Car Toys. It was fairly cheap, but then again my friend worked there and hooked me up a little so idk the price, but I got it for about ~$140 (or so) for all the required parts. However, it was an AM/FM one which, in case you don't know, comes through the speakers via a radio channel. It was decent, but the audio was kinda crappy. It should sound better in the G vs. an Accord, but I'd only get it if it were a last resort since there's no guarantee.

^ like he said above, the AM/FM tuner is an option. But not great quality. I too used to have one in my old car and ditched ASAP lol.

Otherwise you could try best buy. They should have an adapter that will work, but it would probably come out around $300 installed. Or try any other car audio place. Like I said, as long as you have the SAT adapter in the rear of your car, then you can get an aftermarket hardwire kit. You just gotta decide whether you want the OEM piece, or take a chance with something else.

Just find how to disassemble and take the head unit out, rest of it is very straight-forward. Its upto you if you want to drill and route it through your center console.
