Ok, so i have a 2006 G35x that i bought last year used, lots of mileage on it. Anyhow, never heard this sound until this morning, but i started the car and there was a weird humming/buzzing noise that was noticeable when not surrounded by highway or engine noise

I noticed when in traffic, going through a tunnel, the sound would stop, and start again when i came out. I noticed lights on dash dim and sound goes off, so figured it had something to do with that. My headlights are always on Auto, so when the interior dash lights would dim in tunnel, sound gooes away. and then comes back when lights illuminate out of tunnel for daylight driving

Playing with the light options, i noticed that the noise would always be there except on last option on *** (bottom)

i tried to take a video, you can hear the sound..... anyone else ever experience this or have any ideas of what it is?

 

no ideas anybody?

 

ends up it was a little black box before the passenger side headlight which was for the daytime lights (canadian car...)
