g35 vs jetta gli
g35 vs jetta gli
ima run a friend who just got a jetta gli she is tuned 20psi intake and exhaust 5 speed . What Yall Think wil be the outcome im full bolt on except headers and will b tuned
i think if you have a 6 speed you have a good chance.
If its a new gli, she has a 300 lb weight advantage, but you have 80-90hp advantage. Assuming she turned up the boost with exhaust, maybe she's doing around 240hp crank, so you still have a 40-50hp advantage.
if you have a auto, i think it'll be a close race but you'll still have a slight edge.

edit- I clicked the smilie and it just put the text...odd.
A 2.0t is usually around 250-260 HP crank with a piggy back tune PSI bump. However, just saying "20psi" doesn't really mean a whole lot to me. Her vehicle could be 220bhp or 350whp. There's no way to tell from the little info that OP gave, or maybe knows. Either way its still a crappy Jetta. I know , because I have a crappy Passat. After about $5000+ in aftermarket it ran 15.0 1/4miles. Me <= gtfo
OP says "full bolt-ons" which should mean CBE, HFC/TPs, ztube/filter, spacer, mrev...anything short of that is not full bolt-one in my mind...really should include dynotune too.
Im guessing "full bolt ons" means exhaust and CAI. Maybe the OP considers rims as a bolt on..... Your G35 will do fine. Should "win" Though its a silly battle, a 2.0t against a V6. You will win also if you get the tune imagining you have someone who knows what they are doing do the tune.
