How to reset check engine light

I have a 06 Infiniti g35 coupe. My camshaft position sensor in bank 1 went bad. I replaced it but the check engine light is still on. How can I reset it? Also, I figured this was from the bad sensor but not sure. Sometimes when I was driving the car would stall, like it was in neutral for a few seconds, then it would say slip and be fine. Any ideas why? I've read where it could be brakes... I do need new brakes soon.

Not sure about the stalling but as for resetting the SES, I pulled the battery, pumped the brakes and reconnected the battery and the light disappeared

If you stop by any major autoparts store they will let you use a scan tool for free, clear the codes and see how it runs

Sorry to burst your bubble, but its best to replace both camshaft sensors instead of one. Also, doing the pedal ECU reset procedure will help with the CEL.
