Painting side view mirrors, any opinions?

Has anyone done this or considered doing it? I've always loved the way the Audi S line side view mirrors look. I'm considering having the side mirrors on my g coupe painted to mimic that look. My car is red and I just thought it would look real nice with the chrome/silver mirrors. What do you guys think?

Don't do it.. If anything just paint them black.. Your mirrors don't need that much attention..

Don't do it, that's just very wrong! Why bring attention to your mirrors, they should blend in so they're not noticeable!

I'm a fan of the black contrast on the mirrors if you're doing a stock color with black accents theme. Any other color wld look like you're trying to hard. Just my .02

I do not like them stock, i hate that faded plastic look... i agree... you should at least paint the base gloss black if you don't like color matched.
