Headers Input

Thinking about doing a last mod before I get fine tuned. I currently have an 04 5at transgo shift kit, MD 5/16 spacer, Berk HFCs, HKS Hi Flow exhaust Magnaflow x-pipe. I have an uprev tune but based off a another car with similar mods so i was going to get it dynoed to see where im at and then fine tuned if needed. I was thinking about getting headers but i keep reading that i wont see gains and that i will see gains...very confusing. I know install is a pain but im still willing to do it if it will help. With my set-up how much rwhp am I looking at getting and from what type of headers? I have seen gains on other cars but was interested on what knowledgeable people think about my set-up and how headers will help performance-wise.

You've already removed the restriction in your exhaust system by installing a high flow exhsust and HFCs, headers unless you go Forced Induction are not worth the install hassle. Get your Osiris tune and enjoy the ride along with the sweet sound of your exhaust. I smile every time I turn the key....Gary

OEM sized headers won't be worth the money unless you want them for the sound.

Headers really arent worth it in my opinion, save your money and spend it on something else, maybe some visual or suspension mods, or even a new set of wheels

I have headers, not worth the money unless FI....but if you got money to just waste, then go for it.

Thanks for the input everyone! Looks like I'll pass on getting the headers and save up to go FI.

Good decision. My word of advice is research. What ever you think your FI budget will be, have 1.5x-2x that much money available....you'll find out why once the ball starts rolling. Trust me.

If you want more power get rid of the HFC and go Test pipes.
