2005 6MT coupe interior night pix...what's different?

I'm fairly impressed with the luxury and amenities of this car.

You've already seen exterior pix of the new coupe as posted by ScoresMan. I've got the EXACT same car also from Grubbs, '05 6MT coupe DG/Stone/PP/NAV/Aerokit and I've been driving around for a week now trying to break her in properly. I've only got around 400 miles on her and can't wait to hit 1200 so I can open her up.

Here's a few teaser pix of the interior...2 new things for '05

1) as you can see, the steering wheel buttons light up
2) MP3 is awesome. I can load up to 4 gig of MP3 songs on 6 discs. So far I've got about 500 songs loaded in the player with space for a few hundred more. One of my all time favorites... "rock the bells"

the new interior is nice.. except for the lighting around where it has the temperature. i wish they kept that with a black background. i also prefer the old gauges... love the new design and materials though

Thanks for the helpful pics - very nice. I havn't seen a post on how the MP3 actually works. Is there a pigtail cord that comes out of the back and you can download into the stereo head unit? Will it work with many MP3 playes?

The head unit is not a hard drive. It just reads mp3's which are put onto a CD.

I like the lighted steering wheel buttons. I already know the location of the ones on my car, but getting an additional "hint" is good.

Of all the upgrades for 05, I really wanted MP3 capability the most (even over 18HP). A tape deck is so 1980's.

I was wondering how the Mp3 player worked also, I was thinking it had a USB port or something. You can put MP3 songs onto a cd from Nero Burner right?

Thanks for posting the pics.

Now I want mp3 playback in my HU, as well as the lighted steering wheel buttons!

does the new 7" nav screen seem any bigger/better to you than the older ones?

does anyone know if there is a way to put the new '05 mp3 player head unit into an '04? i really miss my alpine mp3 headunit, but i dont want to mess around with the stock look of the stereo in the car. but i would definitely upgrade to the '05 mp3 deck if possible.

If the wheel layout is the same, it wouldnt be difficult. People are wary of messing with SRSed wheels, but the only precautions needed are disconnecting the battery and waiting a few minutes so the backup power dies out. I swapped the srsed wheel off my old vehicle with the srsed jdm version and it was a breeze.
