Also the VQ is not very boost friendly and most mods on the car including exhaust, spacer, intake(doesn't even do anything performance wise on the car...except for sound) doesn't yield much power compared to other platforms(maybe 20-30 horsepower if you get a good tuner).
Also with an MT be careful of OC(oil consumption) the engine tends to have that issue where it burns quite a bit of oil and unless under warranty you won't get a new engine block.

OP please note that the oil consumption issue is only on 2005+ models with manual tranny. However 03-04 manual transmissions did suffer from sh!tty synchros

And there's a few with the non-revup that have replaced their engines because of the OC issue.

I guess depends how much you're boosting. I know many guys running Booster Performance bottom mounted single turbo kits at 8PSI with over 400whp+ for many miles and going strong.
