Repaint Bumper

Hey Guys,

My front bumper is pretty messed up... It's mostly paint that chipped off due to rocks hitting the bumper... I bought it like that knowing that it would cost a couple of hundreds to repaint....

Do you guys know any good body shops that you would recommend? I'm in the SFV, Los Angeles Area.

I need to do the front bumper repainted and also full buffing and detail. Don;t want to be cheap but most places want to charge $400-500 Just because it;s an Infiniti.

Any feedback will be appreciated

From the couple of quotes I got for similar amount of work, I'd say that is reasonable for a quality paint job.

Yeah, I dont mind paying $400 for a good quality work. But this shops usually do bumpers for 150-200 and as soon as I say infiniti they double their price... Where i come from that's call a rip off...

Just like when I needed to do my brakes. It's usually $60-$70 at the usual place... As soon as I said infiniti they increased it to $150.- Fudge that I did the brakes myself.

One reason for having to pay more is because of the tri-coat pearl paint. It is more labor intensive and the pearl paint is also more expensive. Pay the money and get a good job done

R&J in Carson, if you're willing to make the drive. I believe it's $300-350 for a front bumper. Quality work.

If you can get it done for $350, you'd better grab that deal. I live in Wisconsin by no means by any metro area and checked with two differnent shops to do a small repair on my repair bumber and the cheapest was $325. No cracks, just blocking sanding and blending paint from bad area to good area. Mostly because of the expensive paint and tri-coat

You might want to consider looking into a clear bra after the repaint. It will keep your bumper looking new for years.

There's a time gap between paint and installing the clear bra, believe it's 90 days. The paint must be totally dry or bad things will happen....Gary
