Can anyone hit 60mph in second gear? I can only hit about 56mph before hitting redline at 6500RPM's, if I bump the rev limiter I am still only at 57-58mph.

Is this just me, or do I have a gearing problem. The gear feels too short. The owner's manual states 60mph for second gear.

 

It's geared for acceleration....a lot of manuals deliberately make 2nd gear tall enough, just to hit 60 mph, for magazine times.

A lot of people from the Porsche base, will tell, since 2nd doesn't hit 60 mph, it's geared for real performance, not just for the 0-60.
