After everything you are still under $500..don't think Invidias are that cheap before install.

haha yea sure bro. A guy I know who installed his rep exhaust was at $800 after everything was said and done. Almost every rep will have a leak problem that even after getting new gaskets still doesnt fix. I cant wait to see your thread on having a problem with your REPLICA exhaust... Id rather buy my exhaust from a rocket scientist with great customer service then some random on ebay that only cares for your money...

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it bro. Ive had my replica for almost 3 years and never had problems with fitment, sound, or price. Ive never replaced gaskets and cut the resonators out to installed a xpipe and sounds better then some higher priced exhausts ive heard. Ive never been the one to buy replica stuff but its exhaust for god sakes.

Update: hey guys.just got my magnaflow xpipe installed last week and im very very happy with the results. Greater sound. Pulls harder. And SOLID.
I would recommend it if youre on a tight budget, great with the xpipe. And well worth it.

I have an hks replica with magnaflow xpipe and megan resonated tps it sounds great at WOT but drones at low RPM. I had mine for 1 year dont have problems with rusting only thing the burnt side of the tips the color is fading and a few days ago one of my muffler broke the mesh of one of them inside came loose and its making a rattling sound.im trying to see if the vendor can sell me a new muffler only to replace the broken one.If you are on a budget go for it if not save and get something better just my opinion.

^ I agree, M2 exhaust is probably the best hks rep but its still a replica and will have a million leaks and problems. I am saving up for an authentic exhaust or atleast a used hks in good condition.

I will have to say because I have already had experience with the HKS replica . IT SUCKS AND LEAKS ALL OVER THE PLACE YOU WILL GET HIGH OFF THE FUMES THAT ARE LEAKING UNDER YOUR CAR .. And yes it's that bad .. Just a heads up not to buy the HKS knock off ..

To the OP, search and ask people WHOM HAVE ACTUALLY HAD HKS REPLICA EXHAUST!!!!! That's going to be your best judge. People that never have or don't buy replica parts always say don't buy replica parts because the earth will open up and swallow your car and unleash the 8 demons of Timone to destroy the world or some other stupid ****. Logic dictates that if these companies were as horrible as "purists" make them out to be, they wouldn't be in business. Also, don't know how close you are to others, but see if there's someone in your area that has one. Perhaps you can do a ride-a-long or just hear it at start up. Also look for the 350Z guys. Since our cars are essentially the same, you may have more luck (locally I mean) finding a modded version since those tend to see more modification than our cars do.

Good luck either way.

^^^^^ Your choice though OP. Or you could just find a lightly used TDX2, I've seen them go for 900 dollars and they sound amazing. Just IMO, the HKS sounds like garbage.

It was:

Install
Fix Leak
Adjust
Magnaflow Install
Fix Leak
New Gaskets
Adjust again

So $400-500 on parts and the rest on labor.

I had an HKS rep. It was the GodSpeed. I thought like most, it looks the same and it's just bent piping. That is true to some extent. Most of the piping is bent the same but it's not of the same quality. I've seen a few in the Chicago area one of which is completely rusted. It's just surface and can be sanded off but who has the time or patience to do that. I had mine from July to January and it had started to rust on the tips and where the hangers mount on the piping. The drone was aweful. If you live in a nice weather climate and put in a resonator and/or an X pipe this may be the exhaust for you. Also I had to do about 3 hours of fitment on mine as well. I ended up selling mine and picking up a used Megan (which isn't a top name either) and it's been great. I really like it. I'm not a true "purest" but I am a believer in you get what you pay for. Some people are going to say you can buy 5 replica exhaust instead of one real HKS which is true but in some cases you may have to do that before you find one that is alsmost the quality of an HKS so is it worth the time and agravation? To some it is. In all do what you want, it is your car.
