Anyone have the specs for the OEM belt for me to work off of.... or TYPICAL specs for an underdrive pulley set on a non rev up? I bought a cheap one and now its squealing, but I'm not sure what brand to get since im under-driven. 1-1.5 inches shorter than stock? I have no clue...

For this type of stuff, I call Z1 Motorsports directly. They're a good group of guys, and they sell OD pulleys and belts, so I'm sure they can help as well as anyone.

that's awesome you brought them up, I called them before posting and for whatever reason they did not have an answer for me either... I think there were some employees that were not around to ask. I'll try again right now!

Got my belts from a dealer here on the forums for $32 shipped. Got the OEM ones, heard the others might squeal a little. Followed the DIY here on driver, it didn't take long at all. I was so worried about messing something up i totally forgot to tighten the bolts that keep the pulleys from following off . Luckily most of the pieces fell between my sway bar and underpan... had to buy a couple washers from the same dealer but in the end still way cheaper than someone else doing it! (obviously i'm not exactly a mechanic!) Haven't heard a squeal from them yet!

So do our cars have an "auto-tensioner"? I was wondering if I should take it back to the shop and have them re-tighten it since it squeals a tiny bit when I turn sometimes. And lastly, I took off all of the undertray plastics this past summer. Could water possibly be getting on my belts while I'm driving in the rain causing it to squeal at all? New belts as of about a week ago.

dude, it's so easy that I just bought my car last week, knew the belt needed to be changed because of the same problem, and then changed them in 30 minutes.

it's literally so easy, that somebody who has never even changed a belt before (i.e. ME) can do it fairly quickly. I just watched a video on youtube on how to change them

No there is no auto tensioner. And why would you take off the plastic? It's there for a reason. Yes water will sometimes cause squeal but you may also have rusted the pulleys and subjected some parts to pre-mature wear.
