After getting paint correction on my coupe, the detailer said that i had no clear coat on my spoiler and said it was a 1 stage. He discovered this when buffing the paint and the red paint was transferring onto the pad. I have no recollection of getting my spoiler repainted, so im very sure its OEM from the factory. Can anyone confirm if their spoiler is 1 stage as well.

here are the results from the paint correction BEFORE AFTER SHOTS

I also have a red G and mine has clearcoat.I know this as a fact as my clear coat is peeling off.Since it sits under a cover all winter its time for a repaint.

I can confirm that yes if you buff and paint transfers over it is single stage (1 stage).

This is what I was going to say. They probably added it on at the dealership, but went cheap on it.

My oh three koop ain't no 1stage paint. I can't tell you cuz the amount of effort and tom foolery it took to literally rip that bad boy off my trunk didn't put 1 single solitary scratch or chip in the paint.

I'm pretty sure OB and Laser Red are 1 stage, but most of G paints are pearl with at least 2 stages. IIRC Ivory Pearl might be a 3 stage, but don't quote me on that.

2 stage usually means base n clear coat. Ip is 3 stage base, pearl, n clear.

One shot paint clear all in one is single stage, paint and then clear is 2 stages ( basecoat clear coat), and colors with pearl are tri stages.
