Removing aluminum trim (in an 05)

This is going to sound nooby as hell but how do you remove the alum trim around the radio to do a carbon fiber wrap?? Does it just pry out? I have searched extensively and googled as well and all of the diy threads have the pieces already out of the car. I don't want to go prying and break something without knowing for sure.

I found a video that showed how to remove the pieces around the 6mt shifter and that was a piece of cake.

This will help with getting the stereo out, not sure how the aluminum comes off the stereo though:

Yeah Ive seen the radio removal diy but theres no way to get the trim off without taking the radio out? Damn.

But anyway thank you if thats the way to do it, then that diy is way more thorough and easy to understand than the one I saw.
