AzuMaster, that accident is a scary sight! We're glad you weren't injured or anyone else seriously! There's another reason I dislike Dodges, hell I'd rather have a Ford... Make sure your insurance company gets you a rental to drive while your coupe is being fixed or replaced! Sorry bout this!

Glad you're ok. The car will most likely be totalled. If you don't mind taking parts off then buy the car back from the insurance company, you'll make some money parting it out, there are a lot of good parts on that car!

So scary! You got very lucky because the speed of traffic on 495 is very conducive to accidents. I drive on that freeway about 2x a year for that reason. So glad you are alive and well!

I'm sorry to see that happen to you. I ABSOLUTELY HATE the 495 Beltway. I feel like I'm putting myself in harms way every time I go to work. This scenario is almost identical to an accident I had about 10 years ago in my 97 Integra. I was in the left lane and the vehicle veered all the way over into my lane and hit me nose to nose in the right front corner. Like you I had nowhere to go....I'm glad that you are able to advise us of your condition. This could have been much worse.

Just went and saw the damage AFTER they moved the yellow truck off of my car. They messed up her pretty face. It does not look totalled though. Front bumper, grill, passenger side headlight, hood, fender, side mirror, side skirt and pillar all need to be replaced. Passenger wheel is just barely attatched. Gotta love forged wheels... only a couple extra scratches.
Now I wait for the driver at faults insurance to get in contact with me about what they see. Whether they will fix it or what. Will update as I get info.

GeeGirl, Apophis I commute 3 times a week on 495 from exit 7 up to Rockville exit 34 I think it is... The crazy things I have seen and now experienced 1st hand on there is out of this world. Trust me, I understand how you feel. I think the DMV tristate area has statistically the worst drivers in the entire country.

Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes as well, I love this community.

That yellow Dodge truck looks like it was pulling an overloaded trailer. Just guessing that contributed to the driver losing control. That trailer is stacked with heavy construction equipment that a 3/4 ton truck should be pulling....not a 1/2 ton Sport model.

Hope you make a full recovery........and as for your G, she doesn't look totally destroyed. Hopefully insurance will resurrect her.
