Glad your okay, but I'm sayin this is totaled. That's some hearty damage, and if its 70% of the value of the cars worth its totaled. The front bumper brace looks pushed back and that wheel is basically off. I'm thinking its a goner.

How are you feeling physically? Has your insurance company been in touch to let you know when an adjuster will take a look at the car?

I'm physically fine. Been ok since like the 3rd day after. Insurance adjuster will be out tomorrow to determine what's what. Hopefully they don't total but everyone seems to think they will. My love for her won't let me see it. Lol. With that being said if she is I will be looking to purchase another 1 (my 3rd) from maybe a member on here. Something tastefully modded that is not to used and abused. I can't buy another stock G... can't start from scratch again.

Glad to hear only your pride and love were injured in the crash.

Hopefully the adjuster will be fair with you but keep in mind, an insurance company's first offer isn't typically as high as they'll go in a 'total' settlement. Insurance companies are 'for profit' corporations with share holders that expect a return on their shares......so it's not in the insurance company's best interest to give you as much $$ as it will take to replace your car. Fight for a fair settlement and don't accept their first offer.

Glad you're okay. If there is no frame damage, you should be good. And knowing how cheap insurance companies are, they will do everything possible to save money and not total the car. Putting your life at risk to save a few hundred.

Pissed. The towing company that was holding my car was playing he said she said and wasted 2 days so they could make an extra 50 bucks a day. Anywho... the car was finally picked up and transported to my body shop on Friday. The adjuster will be out there bright and early Monday morning finally. Then I will get an answer about whether or not it is totalled.

The insurance appraiser finally got a chance to look at the car today. He said it may be totalled but he is not 100% sure yet.... sooooo he is giving the autobody shop to do a full tear down to see if there is frame damage and whether or not it will be deemed a complete loss. They already started the process and he wld have a final verdict for me by Thursday. This process is draining the life out of me. But I'm glad he is being professional about it and making sure everything is done the right way.

If it is fixable my mechanic recommended a leak down and compression test to make sure that there is no damage to the engine. So much as a hair line fracture could ruin things he said... After hearing that, **** kinda scares me. I don't want to have to deal with replacing and engine again. My last G needed that kind of work done. F.M.L.

Been too depressed to update this thread... it is totaled. They thoughg it was repairable but the the insurance estimater guy decided to have them strip the entire thing to the bone. Turns out it was totaled. The strut from the damaged wheel got pushed back into the firewall and punctured it, caused a fracture in the engine and bent the top of the frame. Estimated costs... 10K to repair. More than 70% of the cars value so they wrote it off. Looking into my next move now. I can't do another G35 coupe, I can't start over again, it would be too depressing. So I'm debating on a G37S coupe, Genesis coupe 2.0T RSpec or an E46 M3 (highly unlikely).
