Another lost G Coupe...

Heading North on 495 towards Greenbelt to go put in an order for my bday cake at my favorite bakery, when disaster strikes. I'm in the fast lane in pretty moderate traffic enjoying the drive when out of nowhere I see the profile of a huge big bird yellow truck sweeping across the freeway towards me. I instantly go into defensive driving. I drop my car into neutral, start trying to get onto the shoulder and braking as hard as I could all at the same time.
The black SUV next to me hits my front passenger side as she is being pulled into my lane by the trailer attatched to the yellow truck. I'm still braking, unable to think but I feel like I'm gonna slow down in time. Nope, the yellow truck comes arnd and smashes into the front of my baby bringing me to a screeching hault...

I'm at the hospital now. Airbags did not deploy but I got major whiplash from the head on portion. Head is bumpin, my neck is killing me. Will update later.

Holy **** man- glad you got away with relatively minor injuries- there's tragic potential in that scenario

Just got discharged from the hospital. I'm ok with the exception of a headache and a crazy sore neck. The 1st vehicle that got hit was the USPS truck she slammed into the median wall and shattered her left leg. The black SUV that hit me 1st was a female driver with 2 kids inside, everyone in that car was fine. It was a pretty insignificant crash in terms of overall damage with the exception of the vehicles themselves.
The State trooper that took all the info already determined that the yellow truck was the driver at fault. Gonna call my insurance company in the morning. Will go and see the car tomorrow at whatever salvage yard they took it to so I can see what the damage really looks like.
Thanks to everyone for their concern, I will keep this thread updated when I can.

based on his old truck with horrible choice of color and inability to drive, my guess is he has state minimum coverage and no assets to sue...so hopefully all other parties involved have comprehensive coverage

i'm glad your ok. That horrible about the car. I don't understand those people that buy those huge trucks, that doesn't know how to drive them. People who buy those oversized trucks and suvs, should take a separate drivers test.
