I Many Times should I Take My Car to the Shop?
I've put my car in the shop (Nissan Dealership) 3 times now for the same problem, I have yet to make it home in my car and it function. A 15amp fuse keeps blowing in the IPDM and makes my car die, driving or not. After tow fees and repair cost the bill is racking up fast. Should I take it somewhere else?
If it's the same problem and they keep charging you and not really fixing it then you should let them know about the lemon laws. Look up the one for your state:

it could be a wire problem, but they should be able to fix it!!! If it's wires shorting out and all they're doing is replacing the fuse then yeah, it's going to happen again.

Nissan shouldn't be charging you to fix something over and over since they haven't really fixed the issue. Find the Service manager, let him know your issues/concerns. Tell him you want your car fixed, replacing the fuse isn't getting it!

Lemon laws are for new cars.
When manufactures rep fails to repair the same problem server times over a period of time.
Then you have a case, but this car is an 05. It's not likely to apply, the car is too old. My friend had an S10 that would die. The dealer tried to fix about a dozen times over about a year. It cost him thousands. Sometimes he would not make it home, he would send it back on the hook! AAA dropped him for over usage. It's not a Lemon law case because the car was too old. He was going to sue, they took the car to a specialist, it turned out to have a cracked circuit card on the back of the fuse box. They fixed and returned some of his money.
My brother had a new Zo6. It had a recurring clutch problem. The dealer failed to fix it on several occasions. GM bought the car back from him after about a year. Sweet deal you get to drive a Zo6 for a year and then get most of your money back! FYI, that is an 11 sec car, it was the one with AL 454. Roll on the power in first gear, it could make you dump your pants boyz! Just one gear is all it takes. It is the fasting thing I have driven with four wheels! Faster than 67Thang with the nasty 351C with the top-loader T4!

man im so thankful my 03 has had pretty much no issues. being the first year I was a bit scared to tell u the truth lol

Good to hear it but, cars have characteristic problems based millage and time.
If you hold onto your car and drive it, you can expect to have the full set!
OK if you are a petite lady maybe your seat frame want fail. If you live up north somewhere maybe the solder connections on your radio will not over heat and fail. Maybe if you live somewhere with really good roads maybe you front suspension will not sound like an old swing after 60K. I don't know when my door locks are going to fail, but they are on the list.
I'ts more about bad design than bad luck.

You can always get a new car, they should be sweet for the first 60K. If it 's a G35 the suspension might not make it, but a BMW suspension is good for 100K, as is the cooling system.

Well they finally fixed it the third time and did not charge me. There was a short somewhere blowing the fuse. They apologized for not looking for the reason the fuse blew. Too bad they did not reinburse me for the tow charges. If they weren't the closest dealer by 100 miles I would probably go somewhere else next time, thanks for the help guys!

In MOST states, Lemon Law is an issue of mileage and its coverage depends on how much mileage is on the car. It is also dependent on how recently (or lack thereof) you purchased the vehicle. It is different from state to state, but in MOST contiguous states, this is how lemon law works.
