Problem with 07 Gcoupe (approx 90000 miles)

I am having a problem with my G, I experience it mainly in 3rd - 6th gear. When i stomp the gas my rpms jump ahead about 1-2 thousand then go right back to normal but it happens every single time i do it. I don't think its an exhaust leak b/c the guy at the exhaust shop had no clue. Maybe a transmission slip?

wouldn't a transmission slip happen at any gear? Not specific gears?

He's got a 6MT so my guess is the clutch is slipping. dhall, sounds like it's time for a new clutch

thats your clutch. its displeased with all of the "stomping" of the "gas"... not that these cars cant take a beating, but everything has its limit. keep it mellow and start shopping around for a new clutch

Thanks guys! And its not only 3-6 i sometimes feel some hesitating in 2nd gear but I've never experienced any problems in 1st. Im thinking y'all are right with the clutch problem, that would make sense considering I'm at 90000 miles right? And if so, what would you guys recommend clutch wise that is priced somewhat reasonable? that is if i go aftermarket.. Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable on the problem.

Exedy, Fidanza, F1...I don't know how "affordable" they are to you but all have a proven track record. Are you modified at all or plan to be? If not I'd just go with a stock clutch...but that's just me

Forgot to mention Centerforce as well. Again I'm not 100% sure on the prices or what your budget is, but I do know those brands. I like name brands for things like this! LoL
