Hi Guys,
I have a Rattle in my driver side door. Dealer says it is the PW regulator, but cant tell till they open it up. Also, my Passenger door lock stopped working. Do these go out a lot? Should I have dealer do the work, or is there another trusted place to go to. I am thinking of just doing both door locks at the same time, as well as window actuators but I am not sure on cost. I am in SF, Bay Area in Ca. Thanks Guys.

Very common problem, dealer will rape u.. I'm sure soneone local to u can help u out..

 

1. Window is loose..just tigthen the bolts that's holding the window mechanism. Do a little bit of German Engineering and apply a tiny bit of thread lock in each bolt.
2. Power lock actuator is dead. You can cheaply substitute the $5 DIY Actuator Fix in this Forum. Look under You Tube as well.
I've done mine and it's been 2years on the repair and it's still working great.

I saw on a sticky a really well done DIY on how to replace the window motor, but a little unsure of what bolts you are referring to. Though, I am sure if I open it up I will find out which ones are lose.
Also, I will search the forum for the 5 dollar lock fix. If I can find it Rock on!
This is all great feed back thank you soooo much, will save me a gang of money.
