I have an 06 g35 coupe. When I'm on big 270 degree on-ramps that have sharp turning and done at high speeds it sounds like my front axle or wheels are clicking and it does not sound good. Basically any high speed sharp turns I do. I've heard this can be ball bearings but I'm not positive and I'm afraid to get it checked out and need an expensive fix. Anyone know anything?
I've heard that noise on a 350Z while autocrossing before. Fix is simple. Re-torque your lugnuts to the recommended 80-85 ft-lbs with a torque wrench. The clicking is because the wheels are either over or under torqued. Tire shops are notorious for over-torquing.
Considering the noise was gone after simply re-torquing the lugnuts, I'd say it's a simple fix the OP should try before spending money trying to replace CV joints that don't exist on a RWD car.
