Check engine light after car wash

Just washed my g35 with the self wash car wash not automatic and after few miles of driving my check engine like immediately can on and my car started stalling and when I left off the clutch it dies even when the brakes are applied. Is it really possible this damaged it? My engine is vibrating a lot and there is a deeper than normal rumble from the exhaust. Any ideas

Best thing to do is to pull the codes first. Did you wash under the hood? Sounds like your cars misfiring.

First guess is water in intake, or MAF....

It can also happen if water is sitting inside the spark plug sockets. It happened to one of my old vehicles after a hand wash

From: Durty south
If the MAF got wet, it will dry and you can reset the CEL. If you have a CAI you might have sucked in some water droplets and you can prevent that in the future with an Injen Hydro sock for $24.

Def need the codes though as this is just blind guessing......i mean it could be the Flux Capacitor for all i know.
