Why does my car ping after I drive it?

Nope, he's talking about the ticking after he shuts it off.

Have you not seen the Buick commercial when the woman went to get groceries and her husband(i guess) opened one of the drinks and it fuzzed out from being shook up, then they showed the Buick with an amplified artificial exhaust tick cause she had been running the hell out of it? So its normal.

^^True that. My all-time favorite car commercial came out several years ago. It was by Lincoln and had a very attractive brunette driving one of their new sports sedans and towards the end of the commercial she stares into the camera and seductively says "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?"

I know my G does.
