IMO think the original "color" the rays are in is perfect. especially with your color. Clean and simple. Personally if I were to powdercoat I'd go for a more gunmetal look but that's with LS and it'd flow better

Lakeshore slate. Like a blue slate kinda looks like its half greenish sometimes kinda teal with some more blue tossed in.

Anyways, Looks great with gunmetal wheels

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
I love the rays with a polished lip. You don't see many sets out there with that mod so I say do it, they'll look awesome no matter what color you PC the rims.

Sounds like you're leaning towards the polished lip. I'd say black or a darker gun metal if you decide to go that route. If not I think all black or restore the original finish of the Rays...but like Blue Dream said either way they will look great.

Hopefully ill actually have the time needed to get some of these parts installed, last weekend turned into helping a friend completely clay bar and wax her car to help with trade in $ for a new car she was purchasing. She had some marks along the sides the dealership told her needed to be fixed before they took her trade in..nothing 5 hours with clay bar and a buffer couldnt fix...downside=0 G love that weekend

I haven't driven it yet but started her up and she sounds great with a few small revs. Cant wait to hear it under some throttle.

Crap!

Well I got some things done and then noticed some problems

1) My rear tires have the metal lining showning & im a few weeks away from really having the $ for the tires and powdercoat $$ so i ordered some rear tire replacements that will be in on Monday. Just standard replacement size for winter.

2) Noticed my exhaust is completely rusted out at the rear joint. For now i have other things I need to finish but im thinking of replacing the entire thing or having my guy do a standard exhaust the whole way back with new piping, cat delete, high flow resonator & then re-using the stock exhaust muffler. Could even throw in an e-cutout if I wanted to mix it up. Ill need to figure out pricing on materials vs a full catback system.

NOTE: Rear spacers & suspension installed. I did NOT finish the front, i spent alot of time finding replacement tires on the cheap to last me as a winter tire. Ill finish up the front tomorrow.

so thats about it...new rear tires monday, front suspension tomorrow, exhaust in the very near future.

I will say the new intake sounds great, its much more throaty from 4k+. Im sure it would sound worlds better if my exhaust leak wasnt drowning out the motor so much.

How about dropping in some 06-07 projectors? Front looks good as-is Except for the white "G35" words on it?! Lol
Btw I have yet to make that thread...I wasn't too confident he would make good on his promise to make them after 15 pre orders and didn't want to get people upset

Yea I have a projector retrofit kit but I can't install it until I find some replacement headlights so I don't have any downtime. I noticed that white g35 deal when I removed the front plate today, they also screws 4 holes in the bumper for the plate . Ill be wet sanding and waxing tomorrow to hopefully rid it.

That's cool man I know how that goes for sure!

In all honesty try a little gasoline on a rag and try to buff it out.
My old man scuffed up our white highlander pretty bad along the side and a little gas on a cloth and elbow grease and it was all gone. Yes it's the poverty approach lol
