****, well im having trouble getting this to line up.

Long story short the top 3 bolts of the strut wont budge, 1 of them is also really close to being rounded so i was going to call it a day and leave the front suspension stock till later in the week but now I cant get this bolt to line up.

Any tricks to getting this to line up? It lines up on the other side & I can thread the bolt through to here and then it wont make it through. Since I cant remove the strut I can re-position it.

Thoughts?

Ha, this worked like a charm actually. Thanks!

Haha, I was wondering who was gonna say that!

Welp got my suspension done..finally. Wish it was a tad lower in the front but the rear is sitting pretty. Its almost too low in the rear, i have like a nails amount of space between the rear tires and fender. Hoping they dont rub when it settles.

I could always remove rear spacers if needed. While I got new tires on the rear today I check out the exhaust on there shop rack and damn...its rusted out...at the muffler its completely eaten and right behind the flex pipes its really, really closed to be gone from rust as well.....ill either look to replace the entire thing from header back or have my guy fab up a custom replacement but use the oem muffler. I suppose ill shop around this week and listen to exhaust clips. I just dont want this thing sounding like a civic, the stock sound is exotic and beautiful so keeping that style tone is a must.

Heres what a stripped nut looks like...finally got it off like 2 hours later...

Ill clean her up tomorrow after work, replace the stripped bolt immediately & snap some better pics to reference. Ill also be looking into a camber kit to help save the tires but for now this will do.

Yea i actually busted the dremel out for this but its such a weird angle without a dremel extension. In the end that socket set I bought worked out although still more time consuming than I wanted!

Picked up some new wheels today! Looks like I wont be going the powder-coated 19" oem way afterall. My buddy was selling his wheels & I couldn't pass up the offer. Pics tomorrow after she is cleaned up! I had to remove the rear spacers or there is no way the wheel/tires would clear so that means next weekend its rolled fenders appointment time. I was able to clear the 25mm spacers up front easily as the rear is much lower than the front on this spring setup.

Thanks! Ha for sure! I was going to finish cleaning off the paint from the previous owner and then throw them up for sale tomorrow. Im just gonna keep the original stock rims as spares. Lmk if your serious, im not looking to make $$ on them just resell for what I have into them.

New wheels installed, suspension 100% finally buttoned up. No spacers in the rear, ill have to have the fenders rolled for them to fit. Now im trying to decide on what color to do my calipers. Either silver, black or gold w/gold or silver extended lugs. Im not a fan of that brembo orange on this color car tbh but was thinking gold might be nice without standing out too much.

Anywho heres the pics. As mentioned no spacers in the rear for now.

This was with the front right suspension still stock!

Time for some changes!

-ordered some fresh bulbs
-new headlights
-fresh tires, nitto 555 235/35/20 & 255/35/20, note in the pics my winter wheels are still installed
-made appointment to get my rear fenders rolled so I can put on the 25mm rear spacers w/the new tires
-replaced hood mounts so finally no more chipping fenders and hood corners trying to open the hood
-clear corners installed but waiting on headlights to show pics
-ill wrap the hood once the headlights are on next weekend!

The car is jacked up on one side in some of those pics but the rear is def a bit lower than the front. When the 20"s are installed they are tucked pretty good in the rear and decent up front. Its definitely the lowest I think springs would drop a G. I could go lower in the rear by cutting the bump stop but they are tucked pretty good as is.

Also the very first pic of my car on this page the front right passenger side is high compared to the rear, thats because the front wasnt lowered yet. Look at the third or fourth pics to reference it after a completed install.
