Which Car? Need your opinions

Hi,

I'm in a dillema, there are two G35 6MT's that I can buy and I'm only going to buy one.

The first one is white, with stone interior and is basically a base model with splash guards for $33,200 ($800 off MSRP)

The other one is Black, with wheat interior that has the Premium Package, Splash Guards, and Sirius Satelite Radio for $34,525 ($2550 off MSRP)

I don't really care too much about the premium package or the satelite radio. I guess I can probably that $1300 difference back when I sell the car however.

What would you do?? Spend the extra $1300 and get the black G35 with the extras?

Thanks for the help!

I would go for the white one if you're going for the pleasure of driving.

I would go for the black one if you're going for the pleasure of luxury...

me? I would get the white one and remove the mudflaps.

go with whatever one you think you would enjoy most.

i would go with the black one personally but thats only cause my previous car was white and i wanted a change, and personally i would want both the premium and sat. radio.

but it's really whichever one you think you will enjoy more.

good luck.

White: save you some car washing time, looks "pretty" and clean,

Black: dirt is more apparent but when clean shines like hell, looks a little more agressive in my opinion,

It's really up to your taste a style.

personally i like black cars, and I like those options on the black as well

Since you said straight up you don't care about the extras, don't spend the extra $ on the black one.

In the long run, they will a minor difference in the resell value. Plus, I think the Ivory Pearl/Stone color combo is better (only because I don't like the wheat interior).

Personally, I love the auto dimming mirror and having the ability to have the homelink garage door openers in the mirror (I use this feature daily). I drive most of the time (in FL) with the sun roof open (and windows down) and really like the 6 disc in dash CD Changer too. It always has 6 cd's in it and not having to fool with switching out one cd for another while driving is really nice. The power tilt and telescoping steering wheel is also a must have IMO and the Dual Climate Control is AWESOME. My wife is always cold and she loves to blast the warm air (even in the FL summer) and I'm always hotter than her, so this feature is a must have by itself for me. The bose radio is good enough for me (for now) and for the extra $1300, it sure seems like you'd be getting a lot of extra goodies for a rather nominal fee. I also bet you've never had the satellite radio either. I haven't had it, but those who do have it are always ranting and raving about it. Come to think of it, look back at everything in bold... you are getting an AWFUL lot for $1300.

Don't forget, when it's time for you to sell your G, the VAST MAJORITY of the other used G's that are on the market will have the premium package. If someone is looking for a vehicle they'll probably want to pay a few hundred more for a loaded one (especially since some people will be selling them for just over the trade in value). While you might not be able to recoupe the entire $1300, you'll be able to get MORE than the dealer would offer you on a trade in and you'd probably be able to sell it faster if it had more options. Remember in 5 years, the premium packages on new cars will have even MORE options than your premium package today. A stripped "luxury" vehicle doesn't sell very fast from what I've experienced. Yet another good reason to get the PP. See where I'm heading here.

Also, the blue batmobile vinyl overlays look AWESOME on a black G. Good luck with your shopping!

Get the white! If you don't care for the premium package then I agree with Sun35. Get the one that you will enjoy the most.

Im not complaining, but I got 1800 off of mine, but the upside to that is that I had to have the car ordered, so its taking a while, but I do get exactly what I want!!

Sorry to see that diamond graphite is not an option ....guess I am bias but that is the best color to me.

If just those two to pick from...go with the white....
