I brushed up against the passenger side mirror walking up my driveway and the mounting support of blade snapped in two. The mirror is fine but the mount is toast. I've ordered the assembly, but want to avoid having to get it painted. Taking the mirror assembly off is easy enough but I want to remove the mirror itself from the mounting bracket and put the old mirror on the new mounting bracket or blade (the plastic support). Any directions on how to do that? I see 3 screws under the mirror and want to remove it but is there some kind of spring that I'm going to unseat if I do that? Any help would be appreciated.
