Convince me to get a G!

Right now I'm in a 2003 330ci. I'm 18...and kind of looking towards something less practical and sportier. The E90 is also coming out so the resale value may take a hit, and I just love the G35. The refinement doesn't compare to the 330 IMO, but the looks and performance can't be overlooked.

I'm looking at a Ivory Pearl G35 6 Speed right now...probably about a 90% chance I'll go with it. I need some convincing for the extra 10% before I make the switch final. Did anyone go through with a similiar trade?

Why dont you go and test drive the G35. Good chance, you'll be 100% after you test drive one.

I hate my G35.... that why my wife keeps asking why I spend more time crassesing and sweet talking the G than her.

I keep telling her, if she was that pretty and sexy i would

No car is perfect, and frankly I always drove sedans, when looking at a new
car, I looked at BMW, Lexus, etc. (330 like you, IS300, etc)
I like the G best of all, then coupe stole my heart.

I did and thats the thing. I love the acceleration, handling, seats, steering wheel...all that stuff. The road manners didn't come CLOSE to the 330 though. The 330 "floats" on the highway...I'm wondering if I'll miss that feeling. Probably not...just don't want to get buyers remorse haha

I'm going from a E36 M3 to a G35. For me, the connection between the car and the road of the BMW is unparalleled. It's something that can only be appreciated through ownership. The selling point of the G, in my opinion, is the overall package of performance, luxury, and price. I know the price difference is smaller when compared to a 330, so the decision is tougher to make. But in my situation, I was shopping the G against the E46 M3. At this point in my life, the $20K difference is huge. As a result, the decision was fairly easy. But I will return to the BMW family one day. If you're looking for less practicality and more sport, I would suggest the 350Z with mods. The G is pretty heavy at 3500lbs.

If you like that "floating" feeling, maybe you should get a Buick instead.... The G coupe is a sport coupe with a sport suspension and 18"/19" wheels - you will always sacrifice the "floating" feeling for more performance and handling.

Both are great cars.

Honestly, I would go with the G because it is a more unique car...in terms of performance, the G has more power for sure. Sure the interior of the 330i is a bit more refined, but, I think the 2005 interior is pretty close.

lol dude.. I dont mean to sound like a jerk or a d*** head but seriously... if you dont buy a G, theres 1000s of other people that will line up to buy one. Infiniti wont really lose anything if they couldnt sell 1 G. Buy a G b/c you want to buy a G. A G is a car that you should just fall inlove with the first time you see it. You shouldnt have to be convinced to buy it. If thats the case, then yes, buy a 330i. Again I apologize if I do sound like a major jerk but its just how I feel...

I second that...Stick with the other half of the population that owns 3 series bimmers...One less G equals one happy me!!!
