Mine did this the other day and it's the time I've noticed it. It showed it was 65 when really it was well over 80.

There was another switch on the middle infront of radiator. It was attached with the metal plate infront of it and two bolt on screws. Not sure what that was.

Try replacing the one in the middle. you may have one for nav, and another for HVAC. I believe the one on my non nav was in the middle.

You can't turn the A/C on, really? Hmm... i never knew they tied the AC to the outside temp. Usually most car manufacturers want your A/C to turn on sometimes, such as when you use the front window defogger, because it keeps the A/C moving parts lubed up and free spinning during those winter months where you typically wouldn't ever use your A/C, plus you defog better when the air is first cooled and then blown on the windows to help pull moisture out of the air.

Since you didn't post year (and many don't do this when asking for specific help) i'll provide both FSM's

There's a self-test procedure detailed at the end of the FSM to help troubleshoot it. This can get you started

Thanks Mustang5L5. I will go through this. The car is 2006 g35 coupe.
Meanwhile i checked the sensor on the middle of radiator. Not sure what it is for and cant find it online either. It has foam padding on the flat side. You can also see the ambient sensor that i replaced earlier.
